The project is inspired by the natural and cultural elements of the region. The shell shaped silhoutte. designed on the lines of 'Red Fort' and its landscape, seamlessly integrates with the landform. The colorful complex layering on the facade of the temples are abstracted in the terminal into multi-layered contemporary patterns which could respond to human scale.
The intent is to highlight the relevance of the city and its heritage through the medium of the terminal which caters to approximately 5 million national and international passengers on an annual basis.
