The design concept has been derived from the 'Ghats'. the
landscape and the built form have been taken as a single entity with the long
series of steps merging into stepped built form.
The built forms which appear as rigid enclosed spaces breaks into fluid spaces
in the sections. This typology leads to maximized visibility and gives vibrancy
to respond to the local climate by maximizing controlled ingress of natural light.
The design involves abstraction of traditional practices into built form. The
arrival point welcomes the guest with an iconic structure which symbolizes
joining
of hands. The intent is to go 'back to the roots' and express Indian practices
through contemporary and modern approach.
