ISBT Kashmiri Gate
ISBT Kashmiri Gate, Delhi
The ISBT Kashmiri Gate was fully renovated & refurbished before 2010 Common Wealth Games & is designed as a modern Bus terminal which could integrate the nearby metro station and other modes of transport into an efficient mass transit system.
The design responds to the existing terminal and incorporates the exposed concrete character of the facade.
The project offers a large fluid public place on the ground with transport-oriented activities and supporting commercial activities with the intent to create a vibrant engaging transport hub.
The design takes a sensitive approach to the present and future needs especially in terms of varying occupancy and its effect on the amenities, infrastructure, and the built form.
